Heikki Tuhkanen (b. 1983) is one of the most talented and versatile Finnish jazz trombonists. He is the principal trombonist of Vantaa Pops and Ricky-Tick Big Band. He’s also a common sight in the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra where he has sat on each chair of the section. The best-known artists with whom Tuhkanen has played or recorded are John Scofield, Cory Henry, Jacob Collier, Lenny Pickett, Nils Landgren, Rick Margitza, Kurt Elling and Martha Reeves. Tuhkanen graduated from the Sibelius Academy with a bachelor's degree in jazz music in 2012.
